A tortoiseshell, ruby, and diamond hair pin. The top of the hair pin forms two interlinking horseshoe shapes, one set with 14 round-cut rubies, and the other with 13 old-cut diamonds. These lead to two scroll shapes either side, which each hold a claw-set gem: one cushion-cut ruby, and one old-cut diamond. Two fine tortoiseshell pins complete the piece. Accompanied by a GCS certificate, number 5782-2665, which states the rubies are of Burma origin and show no signs of heating. Estimated total Burma ruby weight: 0.70cts.
