A mint condition 1965 Omega Speedmaster, manually wound PRE-Professional with 321 caliber movement, straight lugs and no crown guards. This 1965 Omega Speedmaster Reference 105.003 is dubbed the "Ed White" reference because it was indeed the watch he wore during his historic space walk, becoming the first American ever to do so. This reference was made for a short period of time before the 145.012 reference that was chosen by NASA to accompany White's colleagues to the moon. This particular Ed White is as original as they come - you'll find the nicely faded dial, original hands, crown, pushers, and even a great faded original Omega bezel that has drifted towards grey. This is a classic Omega that pre-dates the moon watch and is considered highly desirable by collectors. The lack of crown-guards and "professional" markings on the dial, along with the straight lugs are three attributes these super-Speedies all have.
