A Victorian turquoise serpent necklace displaying three graduating rows of cabochon turquoise forming a flexible 18ct yellow gold scale link body. The head is is set with graduating rows of cabochon turquoise with rose-cut diamond eyebrows and cabochon garnet eyes, the nose is accentuated with rose-cut diamonds leading to an open mouth of sharp teeth enabling the interlocking concealed clasp. All in 18ct yellow gold and silver. Circa 1850.
