An incredible late 1920's Egyptian revival opal scarab beetle brooch set with diamonds, emeralds and enamel. The hand carved opal scarab beetle apears to be earlier than the construction of the brooch, it was origianally a bead and has been engraved with hieroglyphics on the reverse. The brooch has hand painted green, red and blue enamel feathers and is set with rose cut diamonds and two random emeralds. Estimated total diamond weight: 0.38cts.
